THE JOURNEY FROM GRAIN TO A SLICE OF BREAD

Many young people today are unfamiliar with agricultural work and do not recognise cereal crops. This educational programme introduces participants to traditional farming practices, agricultural tasks, and tools.

Students learn to perform age-old activities: threshing grain with a flail, winnowing with a sieve, and grinding grain using hand mills. By exploring different types of cereals, they learn to identify grains and the ears of various crops. Participants also become familiar with the names of traditional tools, learning how to recognise and describe them.
