„Mada ir medžioklė“ iš A. Vasiljevo fondo kolekcijos
The theme of hunting is as old as the world itself—humans once hunted mammoths, crocodiles, bears, and foxes. The oldest portrait presented in the exhibition dates back to the 17th century, while the most recent costume was created in the 1980s.
Among the featured creators are legendary figures of fashion history such as Worth, Patou, Lanvin, Molyneux, Maggie Ruff, and Redfern. The exhibition showcases 19th-century riding habits (amazons), 18th-century footmen’s liveries, early 20th-century hunting costumes, hunting hats, fur gorgets, a pelisse made of orangutan fur, warm muffs, ermine collars, leather handbags, gloves, bead embroidery with hunting motifs, egrets made from wild boar bristles, as well as mounted animals and birds.
